Jubilation in South West as Comr. Adeshina Adewale Excel Emerges as First South West National President of HRRCN

JUBILATION IN SOUTH WEST AS COMR. ADESHINA ADEWALE EXCEL EMERGES AS FIRST SOUTH WEST NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF HRRCN

The South West region is filled with jubilation as Comrade Adeshina Adewale Excel has emerged victorious in the election to become the first-ever National President of the Human Rights Report Commission of Nigeria (HRRCN) from the region. His triumph was declared by the Chairman of the HRRCN Electoral Commission after he met all the stipulated requirements for the position. This historic win has sparked celebrations across the South West as supporters hailed the landmark achievement.

Comrade Excel secured a total of 216 votes out of 364, surpassing the electoral threshold, which required a candidate to win at least one-third of the regions and secure no less than 10% in half of the regions. His landslide victory is seen as a reflection of the overwhelming support he received from across the country, especially within the South West, where his candidacy was met with widespread approval.

In his remarks, Comrade Ayoola, the Coordinator of the South West region, expressed deep gratitude to Comrade Eromosele Godwin for his instrumental support in galvanizing voters from various regions to back the South West candidate. According to Ayoola, Eromosele's strategic efforts and commitment helped unify key voting blocs in favor of Comrade Excel, leading to his decisive victory.

Comrade Adeshina Adewale Excel, who has now earned the nickname "Small Body, Big Engine" due to his energetic campaign and dedication, has pledged to work diligently towards advancing the mission of the HRRCN. He reiterated his commitment to fighting for the rights of the masses and focusing on human rights advocacy, which has been a cornerstone of his agenda.

Addressing the jubilant crowd after his victory, Comrade Excel assured supporters that he would ensure that the HRRCN becomes a stronger voice for the people. His administration, he noted, will prioritize extensive electoral training programs aimed at equipping citizens with knowledge and tools to advocate for their rights.

The election has been widely praised for its transparency and adherence to laid-down procedures, making Comrade Excel's win all the more significant. His victory is viewed as a win not only for the South West but for human rights activists across the country who have long sought a leader with his vision and determination.

Comrade Ayoola further noted that the victory has sent a strong message about the potential and unity of the South West region. He called on members of the HRRCN to rally behind Comrade Excel as he embarks on the critical task of leading the Commission into a new era.

As celebrations continue across the South West, Comrade Excel has been urged by various stakeholders to remain focused on his agenda and ensure that his leadership ushers in significant reforms that will benefit all regions equally. His victory, they say, is just the beginning of a transformative journey for the HRRCN.

The new President has promised to hit the ground running, with plans to convene a meeting of key stakeholders within the HRRCN to outline his strategy for the next phase of the Commission's activities. His leadership, according to many, will be defined by inclusivity, transparency, and a relentless pursuit of justice for all.

The Human Rights Report Commission of Nigeria is poised to enter a new chapter under the leadership of Comrade Adeshina Adewale Excel, with high hopes that his presidency will bring about significant progress and positive change for human rights advocacy nationwide.

COMRADE ADESHINA ADEWALE EXCEL ELECTED NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT COMMISSION OF NIGERIA

In a hotly contested election held today by the Human Rights Report Commission of Nigeria (HRRCN) in Asaba, the capital of Delta State, Comrade Adeshina Adewale Excel, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Oyo State, emerged victorious as the new National President of the HRRCN.

His election marks a significant milestone in his career as a human rights advocate and political figure.

The election, which lasted for over four hours, was a keenly observed event, with 368 accredited delegates participating from all 36 states of Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Each state had 10 delegates, making a total of 370 expected delegates; however, six were absent for undisclosed reasons. Despite the competitive atmosphere, Comrade Adeshina Adewale Excel triumphed with a substantial lead, garnering 216 votes.

Comrade Adeshina’s nearest rival, Sulaimon Rabiu from Adamawa State, who secured 69 votes, commended the new president’s leadership qualities.

In a display of sportsmanship, Rabiu pledged his support for Comrade Adeshina, describing him as "a man of the people." He further noted that even the North West Region Coordinator had thrown his weight behind Adeshina during the campaign, indicating the broad appeal and respect he commands across the regions.

Third-place candidate, Comrade Ugochukwu Faith, who secured 48 votes, also congratulated Comrade Adeshina Adewale Excel on his victory. Faith expressed confidence in the new president’s ability to deliver on his promises, particularly in the area of promoting human rights and addressing the pressing issues facing Nigerians. He urged the new president to remain committed to his pledge to fight for the masses, especially in the face of the ongoing crises in the country.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Adeshina Adewale Excel expressed his gratitude to all members of the HRRCN for their support. He emphasized the importance of unity in achieving success, noting that his candidacy was made possible by a coalition of support from the South West, South South, and North Central regions. "Unity is key," he said, "and I will not disappoint anyone who believed in me."

Comrade Adeshina further appealed to the Federal Government to reconsider the proposed 10% increase in Value Added Tax (VAT), warning that it could exacerbate the already difficult living conditions for Nigerians. He also called on the National Assembly to hold the Minister of Petroleum and the Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) accountable for their roles in the current economic challenges.

He urged swift action from the government to address the suffering of Nigerians, warning that inaction could lead to greater unrest. “Nigerians are suffering,” he stated passionately. “Please do something now before it turns into something worse.”

The new HRRCN President promised to use his office to fight for human rights, ensuring that the Commission remains a strong voice for justice, fairness, and equality in Nigeria. He reiterated his commitment to promoting transparency and holding public officials accountable for their actions.

Comrade Adeshina Adewale Excel’s victory is seen as a new chapter for the HRRCN, with many hoping his leadership will bring positive changes to the Commission and strengthen its role in advocating for human rights across the nation.

Comr. Adeshina Adewale Excel Gains Widespread Support Ahead of September 7th Human Rights Report Commission Election

COMR. ADESHINA ADEWALE EXCEL GAINS WIDESPREAD SUPPORT AHEAD OF SEPTEMBER 7TH HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT COMMISSION ELECTION

As the Human Rights Report Commission of Nigeria prepares for its highly anticipated National President election scheduled for Saturday, September 7th, 2024, in Asaba, Comr. Adeshina Adewale Excel continues to gather strong support from various regions. According to a report by Comr. Ezeala Odinacha, Financial Secretary of the Commission, Comr. Excel has successfully won the backing of key regions, surpassing other candidates.

Comr. Odinacha noted that Comr. Excel’s team has strategically worked to win the hearts of influential regional coordinators, placing him ahead of candidates such as Comr. Uche Precious from Anambra State and Comr. Ugochukwu Faith from Abia State, both representing the South East region. Other contenders, including Comr. Abdul Ibrahim of Zamfara State (North West Region) and Comr. Sulaimon Rabiu of Adamawa State (North East Region), are also vying for the position but have yet to gain the same level of regional support as Comr. Excel.

Comr. Adeshina Adewale Excel, hailing from Oyo State in the South West region, has garnered the endorsement of both the North Central and South South regions, making him a strong contender in the upcoming election. His support base is not just regional but cuts across the country, signaling his wide appeal as a candidate.

In the screening conducted by the electoral committee of the Human Rights Report Commission of Nigeria, led by General Secretary Comr. Kabiru Hammed, Comr. Excel received commendations from all quarters. Notably, the screening process revealed that Comr. Excel is the youngest candidate in the race, a fact that has earned him widespread admiration and the title of "youngest and mightiest" among his peers.

Comr. Excel has used his platform to introduce innovative ideas aimed at transforming the commission and contributing to national progress. One of his key promises is the enhancement of the Nigerian Constitution by ensuring its translation into major local languages such as Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo. This initiative is expected to make the constitution more accessible to a wider audience and foster greater understanding of fundamental rights.

In addition, Comr. Excel has expressed a commitment to tackling Nigeria’s ongoing economic challenges. He emphasized that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) shares responsibility for the current economic crisis, arguing that their focus on securing a national minimum wage has left small and medium enterprises (SMEs) struggling to cope with rising costs. Comr. Excel pointed out that while the civil service enjoys the benefits of the wage increase, other sectors, including private schools, POS operators, and small businesses, are unable to afford the same compensation for their employees.

These bold statements and clear policy proposals have resonated with many of the commission's zonal coordinators, who see Comr. Excel as a leader ready to make a difference. His candidness and willingness to address critical issues have further strengthened his appeal ahead of the election.

Earlier today, during a series of interrogations and discussions with zonal coordinators, it was evident that many were enthusiastic about the prospect of Comr. Excel taking office. His youth, vision, and leadership qualities have set him apart as a candidate who can bring positive change to the Human Rights Report Commission of Nigeria.

As the election approaches, all eyes are on Comr. Adeshina Adewale Excel, with widespread support propelling him closer to victory. The regional coordinators, along with many others, wish him success as he prepares for the pivotal election on Saturday, September 7th.
